The Collar and Elbow Spring is at the north end of Steptoe Valley in Sec. 33, T26N, R65E. It had a temperature of 33.3°C and flow rate of 68 L/min. on August 2, 1918. It is in old lakebeds and has formed a tufa mound (Clark and others, 1920, p. 44, 49). In 1982, Reed reported the temperature to be 22ºC with an estimated reservoir temperature of 30ºC (Reed and others, 1982, p. 45, 107).
