Flatnose Ranch (updated 2004)

The Flatnose Spring is about 9.6 km northeast of the Delmues Springs in the SEĽ Sec. 34, TIN, R69E. Temperatures up to 25°C and flow rates up to 1,818 L/min are reported, and the reservoir is estimated to be the same temperature (Reed and others, 1982, p. 106). The spring is along a buried fault under Tertiary lava. The water is used for irrigation (Phoenix, 1948). Reed and others (1982, p. 41) reported the flow rate to be 1,510 L/min.
