McCoy (J. Saval) Springs, located in SW¼ of NW¼ of Sec. 33, T26N, R39E, have reported temperatures of 48.9ºC (Reed and others, 1982, p. 44) and 48.3ºC (Cohen and Everett, 1963). The springs are located at the northwest end of a line of springs along a northwest-striking fault system in Quaternary alluvium (Stewart and Carlson, 1976b).
