A spring 2.4 km northeast of Contact (Sec. 16, T45N, R64E) and 10 km southwest of the San Jacinto Ranch Spring is reportedly 60°C and has an estimated thermal aquifer temperature of about 93°C based on the silica geothermometer (Mariner and others, 1974). The exact location of the spring in section 16 is unknown, but an abandoned Mineral Hot Springs building and concrete-lined pool(?) is located along U.S. Highway 93 in NW¼ NW¼ Sec. 16, T45N, R64E.
