The Hot Springs (updated 2003)

Hot springs are found along the Little Humboldt River where it crosses the north end of the Hot Springs Range on the east side of Paradise Valley. Water temperatures at The Hot Springs (NE¼ NE¼ Sec. 19, T41N, R41E) are reported to be 57°C, and springs about 1 km to the east (NE¼ SW¼ Sec. 20, T41N, R41E) have temperatures of 36°C (Trexler and others, 1981). The Sec. 20 springs were named Day Warm Springs, for the spring owners, by Trexler and others (1981). At least one of the spring areas is associated with a fault. Travertine is reported present, and an estimated reservoir temperature (silica) is 106°C (Mariner and others, 1974).
