Wall Spring, north of Buffalo Spring in Washoe County, near the north end of the Smoke Creek Desert, is shown on the Wall Spring 7.5-minute Quadrangle to be in NW¼ SW¼ Sec. 3, T32N, R21E (protracted). It is marked by a 6 m diameter pool that is not warm. However, water wells on the Parker Ranch, about 1 km to the south, are reported to be warm. Bass up to 2 feet long and bluegill reportedly thrive in 29.4ºC waters in 12 little ponds that are supplied by artesian wells (S. Voyles, Reno Gazette Journal Aug. 24, 2004).
