Williams Hot Springs

Apparently the third-hottest group of springs in White Pine County are the Williams Hot Springs at the intersection of Secs. 29, 30, 31, 32, T13N, R60E, approximately 50 miles southeast of Ely along the eastern side of the White Pine Range (Robinson and Pugsley, 1981, p. 30). There are two springs with temperatures of 51-53°C and flow rates reported at 190, 190-511, and700 L/min. The reservoir is estimated to be the same temperature as the springs (Robinson and Pugsley, 1981, p. 30). The water is used for irrigation (Stearns and others, 1937, no. 103; and Maxey and Eakin, 1949).
