Ken Smith continues to make progress installing stations in schools. He has visited Douglas, Whittell, Carson, Storey, and Fernely High Schools in the last few weeks.
Ken is in the process of testing the data acquisition systems on different machines. Some modifications to the data acquisition software may be necessary for older machines.
We are hoping to offer a class (possibly over the weekend) for the teachers in January. Now that several schools have the instruments running, there seems to be more interest in attending a class to learn about the software and related topics.
We are developing e-mail contacts for the teachers in the various school districts. It has been slow going. Hopefully we will have a more or less complete list in the next few weeks. We would like to send the information about the Earthquake Awareness Poster Contest out after Thanksgiving.
