M6.0 Antelope Valley Earthquake - Thursday, July 8, 2021

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake occurred about 33 km southeast of Markleeville, CA  in Antelope Valley near the town of Walker and near the range-front fault in the area. Shaking was widely felt in the Reno-Carson corridor and as far as San Francisco. U.S. Highway 395 was temporarily closed due to rock slides. Check the Nevada Earthquake Clearinghouse website for addtional details as they develop. NBMG has mobilized teams in response to this event.
